Lu Price (they/he) is a trans masc non binary queer dance movement artist from San Francisco, California. He began his dance training at ODC and, subsequently, Dance Training Center/SF. At the age of 17, Lu moved to North Carolina to attend the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he obtained his High School diploma in Ballet. In 2020, Lu attended the University of California at Irvine, before transferring to Saint Mary’s College of California in 2022. Lu has attended dance programs at San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Kaatsbaan, Mark Morris Dance Company, Bates Dance Festival, Post:Ballet, and Doug Varone and Dancers. Lu’s senior thesis “what we hold, what we leave behind” was selected to represent the Saint Mary’s Dance Program at ACDA 2025. In 2025, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Dance Choreography and Performance from Saint Mary’s College of California. Lu has danced professionally with Davalos Dance Company and Shaunna Vella. He currently works in arts administration at various dance spaces around the bay.
